GGD history & concepts
Great Giants Design emerged from the observation that contemporary cities increasingly rely on temporary features rather than permanent installations.
As urban spaces become more dynamic and event-driven, the need for installations capable of attracting people without altering the long-term landscape became evident.
GGD was conceived within this context, positioning temporary public installations as tools for spatial interaction rather than fixed monuments.
GGD develops temporary public installations to generate presence, interaction, and increase public engagement within urban environments.
Each concept is conceived as modular, relocatable, and repeatable, allowing installations to adapt to different contexts and move across locations over time.
Rather than producing one-off artworks, GGD approaches each installation as temporary cultural infrastructure, designed to activate public spaces, through design, engineering, and private sponsorship.

Great Giants Design Founder & Partners
Great Giants Design was founded by Erika Di Falco, an engineer with a background in design, risk analysis, and complex project development.
Her work focuses on the intersection of large-scale design, public space, and operational feasibility, with particular attention to modular systems, temporary structures, and scalable models.
GGD was conceived as a platform rather than a single artistic practice, combining creative direction with engineering logic and a structured business approach.
Great Giants Design collaborates with specialized engineering and production partners to develop modular installation systems designed to be reusable, relocatable, and resource-efficient.
The platform works with partners experienced in hybrid production approaches, combining digital fabrication, industrial processes, and structural engineering to optimize scalability and durability.
Sustainability is addressed through design choices that prioritize reuse, adaptability, and long-term circulation of each installation across multiple locations, rather than single use productions.
